About Us

Listen to our Sunday
Morning Service

Whatever your style of WORSHIP... we have a place for
you. Our morning worship service is a blended service of both the
old and the new. We have a very dynamic and talented
Gospel/Praise Team. Get ready for a dynamic, upbeat worship
service! We have a very Biblical relevant message each and every
Sunday. Come join us. The dress is casual. It's rare that
anyone wears a tie.

Our Sunday
School has
something for every age.
We also have an After Church Group called, "Now What" that
meets to talk about how to apply the sermon in their lives. There
are about 15-20 people that meet in the cottage.
Vacation Bible School: Every Summer we team up with the Baptist Church across
the parking lot to put on the biggest VBS in the area! The 2009
VBS will be held at the Methodist Church!
Prayer Ministry: There are many dimensions to our prayer
ministry. We also have a 24 hour prayer room complete with its
own separate thermostat controls and combination lock. See Pastor
for details.
We also have a very active and dynamic Prayer
Chain via email and phone. Our latest addition is our
Prayer/Informational BLOG which is both informative and
interactive. Participants can post their own prayer request or
give answers to prayers. www.medinaumc.wordpress.com

The United Methodist Women have a very active and important role in the
ministry of Medina UMC. The members of UMW coordinate bereavement
meals as well as sponsor wedding and baby showers. They also
sponsor a yearly Bazaar. They actively seek to study and grow
spiritually with their monthly meetings. (They normally meet the third
Wednesday at 2:00)

Women's Bible
Study: Their is an active Women's Bible Study group that is
almost always meeting. Sometimes it's a Beth Moore Study.
Sometimes it's a particular verse by verse study out of the
Bible. They meet on Wednesdays at 3:45. Check the Calendar
for details.
Men's
Group: The
Men's Group grew out of four men going to a Promise Keeper Convention
and is an ecumenical movement of men that meet every Thursday at 7:00
AM at Medina UMC. There is also another men's group made up of a
lot of the same members who want more of a study time. They meet
Monday Mornings for Bible Study.
Emmaus Walk: The Walk to Emmaus
is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church
through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. The
program's approach seriously considers the model of Christ's
servanthood and encourages Christ's disciples to act in ways
appropriate to being "a servant of all." SWTX Conference Emmaus Site.
Missionary Ministry: In addition to sponsoring
Ray and Lidia Zirkel, (Our
Costa Rican Missionaries) Medina United Methodist Church usually is involved in at
least one outside missionary project a year. We are also involved
